This joint presentation examines the central challenge facing the UK drone sector: not innovation, but the transition from technically viable systems to approved, repeatable, realworld operations. As global markets move toward commercial scale, companies are under increasing pressure to generate credible, regulatorrecognised evidence of safety and performance - a process that remains complex, costly and difficult to scale in practice. Drawing on perspectives from across industry and system delivery, SAC will explore where the UK is currently constrained, particularly in testing access and evidence generation, and what a more effective, joinedup approach to enabling deployment could look like.
