Custom Electronics develops custom battery cells and packs for drones and UAVs, with solutions engineered around each platform’s size, weight, power, flight-time and environmental requirements. Available options include cylindrical, prismatic, pouch, conformal and form-fit designs across a broad range of chemistries and capacities.

Capabilities include 14250 and 18650 cylindrical cells, prismatic and pouch cells, and capacities ranging from 100 mAh to 100 Ah. A broad selection of chemistries, separators, electrolytes, anodes and cathodes allows battery performance to be tailored to the mission. Conformal, form-fit, structural, flexible and other custom cell constructions can maximize the use of available space within the airframe and increase energy capacity without enlarging the platform.

Performance options include specific energy up to 300 Wh/kg, discharge rates up to 30C, low-temperature cells retaining 50% capacity at –40°C, high-temperature cells demonstrated for 100 cycles at 80°C, and high-voltage cells operating up to 4.7 V.
