VCS³ STACK

The VCS³ Stack integrates all the components of a SoC-powered SBC into a single, lightweight, compact footprint. The stack combines heterogeneous computing, advanced sensor integration, and industrial connectivity by leveraging the AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC-based Single-Board Computer (SBC). The complete system weighs just 70 grams, making it one of the lightest stacks currently available.

From top to bottom, the stack includes:

VCS³ Module

Located just below the cooling fan, this is the system’s brain, offering extensive I/O for diverse data processing applications.

4-Port USB 2.0 Hub

Controlled by an FE1.1s chip, this hub connects directly to the VCS3 using gold pads and spring-loaded POGO pins. This hardware design ensures stable power, ground, and data (D+/D-) connections even in high-vibration environments. Five built-in LEDs indicate the status of each connected device. Because this hub taps directly into the VCS³’s USB 2.0 lines, the onboard USB-C port is unavailable for power or data.

VCS3-RP2040 Card (50×30 mm)

Situated at the base, this board supplies USB-C power to both the VCS³ module and the fan. A separate USB-C port handles UART and XVC JTAG communications. It also hosts a 22-pin MIPI to 34-pin DSI display converter, designed for use with the VCS³-3D kit.

The VCS³ Stack is ideal for applications including:

- Lightweight UAV and drone systems
- Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)
- Machine vision systems
- Industrial automation
- Edge AI deployments
- Smart cameras
- Sensor fusion platforms
